WETA Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films of The Lord of the Rings™ trilogy.

It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment, or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

The massive skull of a Cave Troll, found in the depths of Moria™, displays remarkable thickness and resilience.

Its heavy brow and enlarged nasal cavities indicate a creature built for brute force and raw power. The dentition suggests a diet capable of handling both meat and tough vegetation. This skull is a crucial piece for understanding the formidable physiology of Middle-earth’s monstrous denizens.
